Charles “Charlie” Mathis has over 14 years of public company experience as a CFO. He is currently responsible for all finance and accounting activities at Amentum, including financial strategy, finance business operations, financial planning and analysis, government compliance, internal audit, tax and treasury.
Prior to Amentum, Charlie was CFO of SAIC, Inc., and defense contractors Force Protection, Inc. and EFW, Inc. He was also CFO of commercial IT and cloud company, ScanSource, Inc. where he also serves as a director on the board.
Mathis earned his B.A. from Wake Forest University and an MBA from the University of Chicago School of Business. He also served in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry Officer.
