John is the Chief Executive Officer of Amentum, which provides a broad array of technical and management services to the U.S. federal government and other national governments worldwide. His responsibilities include planning, organizing and controlling the operating activities of more than 20,000 employees in 28 countries. In addition to leading Amentum, he is responsible for strategy and business growth, emerging technology and offerings development.
Prior to Amentum, John was President of the AECOM Management Services Group, and Executive Vice President of Operations for URS Federal Services, an engineering and technical services provider with over $4B in revenues and 18,000 employees. He was responsible for delivering high-quality science, engineering, and analytical services, critical infrastructure and facility management, base and range operations and cyber and IT solutions to the DoD, NASA, and other Federal agencies.
John has more than 40 years of experience working with military and other Federal agency markets providing IT, communications, and command and control solutions worldwide. This experience includes executive leadership and profit and loss responsibility for multiple business units, as well as strategic and market leadership for operations, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
John received a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Flagler College, St. Augustine, FL, in 1979, and continued studying for a Master of Business Administration at Northeastern University as part of EG&G’s Corporate Executive Management Program, Program 2000.
Jill leads the business and technical activities of the Amentum Intelligence, System Engineering, Security, Services & Solutions (IS4) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) as President. Prior to Amentum, Jill led the IS4 SBU at AECOM, with approximately $1B annual revenue. Her portfolio delivers the fully integrated life cycle of design, build and operate capabilities while providing a focus on intelligence, security, and technology capabilities. The portfolio contains diverse programs in operations and maintenance/data analytics, Information Technology, cybersecurity, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Naval systems engineering, electromagnetic spectrum warfare, specialized training, mission support, linguistics, and classified design and construction.
Previously, Jill was the Executive Vice President and General Manager of AECOM’s Intelligence Community Services and the former $1B+ Global Security Group (GSG) under URS’ Federal Services Division. Prior to joining URS, she served as the Chief Operating Officer for NJVC, a technology services provider for Intelligence, Government and commercial customers. Previous to NJVC, Jill worked at CSC for 20 years, starting as a technical researcher in cryogenics at Nichols Research (bought by CSC in 1999) and ending as a Vice President leading large classified operations.
Jill holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, holds two patents related to energy systems, and has published over 27 papers in cryogenic technology. She was on the Washington Exec Top 30 Executives to Watch in 2016. She was the Women in Technology Leadership Award winner for large business in 2011 and won the American Business Association Gold Stevie Award 2015 Female Executive of the Year for large business.
Dr. Karl Spinnenweber
Karl is the President of Amentum’s Mission Readiness Group. Karl has profit and loss responsibility for a $1.9B global organization of 13,000 employees who provide clients with engineering, maintenance, and logistics solutions. Prior to Amentum, Karl led the Mission Readiness Group for AECOM, and also held executive positions at CSC, including VPGM Maritime, VPGM Army, VP Intelligence, and VP Strategic Business Development.
Karl obtained a Doctorate in Business Administration from the Fox School of Business at Temple University in May 2018. He earned his Master’s in Business Administration from Duke University’s Global Executive Program, where he was a Fuqua Scholar, received a Master of Science in Fluid Mechanics and Thermal Sciences from George Washington University, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering Systems from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. He obtained a U.S. Coast Guard Engineering License and served as a Naval Reserve Officer.
Mark is the President of the Amentum Nuclear & Environment (N&E) Strategic Business Unit, where he oversees N&E day-to-day operations; manages profit and loss, strategic initiatives, and business development activities; and oversees administrative and operations support functions for Amentum’s work for clients in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Japan.
Mark has more than 20 years’ experience in leadership roles for the United States Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), in both government and the private sector. Prior to joining Amentum, he led the N&E Strategic Business Unit at AECOM. Previously, he was a member of the U.S. Senior Executive Service with the DOE, serving in a variety of leadership positions, most recently as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for DOE’s Office of Environmental Management. Before that, Mr. Whitney served as the acting Assistant Secretary for Environmental Management (EM) and the Manager of EM’s Oak Ridge Office. Within NNSA, he was the acting Principal Assistant Deputy Administrator for Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation, where he oversaw the operations of the Department’s global nuclear security and nonproliferation programs, and Assistant Deputy Administrator for Nonproliferation and International Security.
Joe Dunaway is the President of Amentum’s DynAviation Business Unit. He is responsible for all aspects of the Business Segment’s profit and loss performance with an annual revenue in excess of $1.1B. Mr. Dunaway has direct management and control of all segment functions including operations, supply chain management, finance, quality assurance, human resources, contracts and business development. He is responsible for the segment growth and more than 6,900 employees positioned in numerous large organizations supporting both US and International customers around the world.
Prior to serving as the President, Mr. Dunaway served as the Senior Vice President, Corporate Operations for DynCorp International reporting to the CEO and supporting company operations in 34 countries to include direct support for the day to day activities of the two Company Business Segments; DynLogistics and DynAviation. Additionally, he served as the Chief Operating Officer for DynAviation, providing the senior executive management, oversight and strategic operational direction to 26 operational programs located in 133 locations world-wide.
Prior to joining DynCorp, Mr. Dunaway had a distinguished military career, retiring from the U.S. Army in 2013 after 28 years of active service in Army Aviation. During this time, he served in both combat and garrison environments while stationed in various locations around the world. He commanded five times and at every level through Brigade Command, to include command of the Corpus Christi Army Depot. He deployed the Army’s largest aviation battalion of 1,166 soldiers to Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and as a Master Army Aviator and Test Pilot, has more than 2,400 hours in 5 different rotary wing helicopters and flew more than 131 combat missions, awarded two Bronze Stars, two Air Medals and the Combat Action Badge. His final combat deployment was with the United States Forces Iraq (USFI) serving as both the Director, Joint Logistics Operations Center (JLOC) and as the Senior Advisor to the USFI Assistant Division Commander Support for the transition of the Department of State to enduring presence. His final assignment was in the Pentagon as the Military Executive to the HON Alan F. Estevez, Principal Deputy to the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Transportation and Logistics (AT&L).
Mr. Dunaway holds a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy with a Supply Chain Management Certification from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF) and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology. He is also a graduate of the Depot and Arsenal Leadership Executive Program (DALEP) from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC. He is a Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt Certified Champion, with Green Belt Certification and is a certified lead auditor to the AS9100:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Randy is the President of Amentum’s DynLogistics Business Unit, where he oversees the day-to-day operations; manages profit and loss, strategic initiatives, and business development activities. Randy has profit and loss responsibility for a $1B global organization of 8,000 employees who provide clients with contingency operations support, logistic sustainment services, and life support services. Prior to Amentum, Randy led the DynLogistics Business Unit for DynCorp International, and held multiple leadership roles within the company, both in the business development area and profit and loss.
Randy retired from the United States Army after more than three decades of service in a variety of command and staff positions, as well as over 15 years of experience in various leadership roles in the business world. Randy holds a Master of Public Administration from Shippensburg University and a Masters of Strategic Studies from the Air War College, Maxwell AFB, AL.
Jake Kennedy is the Chief Financial Officer at Amentum. Previously he was Senior Vice President of Finance at AECOM Management Services and was the URS FS Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Compliance Director and the Financial Controller. Jake joined the company by way of its acquisition of EG&G Technical Services, Inc., in July 2002. Prior to joining URS Corporation, Jake was the Director of Accounting at Litton-PRC, Inc., where he was responsible for financial reporting and transaction accounting. Jake also worked as an internal audit manager for Black and Decker Corporation and was an audit manager for Ernst and Young in New York.
Jake received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Villanova University and an MBA from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Maryland and is a CFA charter holder.
Camille is Amentum’s Executive Vice President, Project Services and is responsible for business infrastructure to ensure all operations, business development, and support operations function in a seamless environment. She helps the company improve project execution providing support in contracting, supply chain, information systems, security and real estate.
Camille served in the U.S. Army for more than 40 years in key positions including Director of Business Operations in the U.S. Army Office of Business Transformation; Commanding General, Army Contracting Command; in Program Executive Office, Soldier; and Commanding General, CENTCOM Contracting Command. Prior to her retirement from the Army, Camille served as director of the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office within the Office of the Secretary of Defense and as the Deputy Commanding General of the Army’s Installation Management Command. She joined Amentum from Fluor, where she served as vice president of business operations for its government group.
Camille earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Additionally, she earned master’s degrees in Safety and Systems Management at the University of Southern California, in Strategic Studies at the U.S. Naval War College, and in National Resource Strategy at the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, as well as a Doctorate in Engineering Management from George Washington University.
Stuart leads the legal function for Amentum, providing advice on the full range of government contracting issues. He supervises company litigation and also provides support in the areas of labor and employment law, compliance, export control, and international law.
Prior to working at Amentum and AECOM, Stuart worked at DynCorp where he worked on Government contract issues including bid protests and contract disputes. At DynCorp, Stuart also worked on commercial and international transactions.
Stuart worked at the General Services Administration from 1984 – 1992, handling GAO and GSBCA bid protests and appeals, as well as contract formation, contract administration, cost and pricing issues, and issues relating to GSA Multiple Award Schedules.
Stuart earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Rochester in 1978 and a Juris Doctorate with Honors from George Washington University in 1982.
John is the lead for Risk & Strategy, directing the annual strategic planning cycle and overseeing the risk management processes throughout the company. John plays a leading role in special projects ranging from organizational change management to business process improvement and information governance. John is a lead instructor and director of the prestigious Business Management Training Program (BMTP).
From 1983-1995, John served as an EG&G Program Manager for several large U.S. Navy submarine combat system acquisition support contracts. From 1995 to 2003, he served as VP of Operations and CTO for a small business specializing in satellite communications, radio systems, and field services for Federal customers. John returned to the EG&G Division of URS in 2009 and was the Vice President of Business Integration from May 2011 – February 2018.
John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a former U.S. Navy nuclear-trained submarine officer (1979-83).
Ron (Fog) Hahn
Ron serves as the Executive Vice President, Strategic Growth Organization at Amentum. He is responsible for the development of a comprehensive growth strategy that includes evaluation of growth markets, development of new capabilities and expanding Amentum to new clients and markets. Ron also has key other growth initiatives under his direction to include Amentum’s Advanced Technology Office, IDIQ/GWAC, branding/marketing, and competitive intelligence.
Ron has more than 35 years of government and corporate experience in the defense industry. He has advised numerous federal organizations to include the Department of State, Department of Defense, NATO, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Senate Armed Services Committee and the Defense Science Board.
Ron has served on numerous boards and executive committees to include the Defense Science Board, Armed Forces Communications and the Association of Old Crows. He holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from American University, a Master’s of International & Strategic Studies from Marine Corps University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Delaware.
Carol is Senior Vice President for Business Development Operations. She is responsible for developing and operating effective business development capabilities to support a $20B+ qualified pipeline. Carol has a broad base of experience with Federal government clients and commercial clients in industrial and high-tech sectors. Her experience includes technical services, systems integration, and consulting services.
She has been with Amentum and legacy companies since 2012. Previously, Carol was responsible for the strategic capture of some of the company’s most important opportunities. Prior to joining the company, Carol worked for large Federal system integrators, including IBM, Lockheed Martin, and Accenture. In addition to capture executive roles, she has held technical leadership and P&L operations roles.
Carol holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Loyola University in Maryland. She is a graduate of The Leadership Foundry program – a signature program of Women in Technology (WIT) to develop women leaders for boardroom positions.
Bob is the Chief Human Resources Officer and leads all aspects of the Human Resources (HR) function for more than 19,000 employees across the U.S. and overseas for Amentum. He partners with the senior management team in organizational development efforts, succession planning and talent acquisition and development.
Bob has been serving in the HR field with Amentum and legacy organizations since 1984, providing leadership and management of HR staff and functions worldwide. He has also led HR through several major organizational changes, mergers and acquisitions.
Bob earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Edinboro University and a Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from The University of Akron.
His outstanding leadership and exemplary knowledge and capability have won him numerous awards. Bob holds several certifications including certified Senior Professional in Human Resources from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP®).
As head of the Financial Strategy group, Catalina leads the Pricing, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), and the Indirect Budgets and Rates Organizations.
Catalina’s team looks after the financial health of Amentum’s portfolio of programs and helps develop pricing and indirect rates strategies that maximize the company’s profitability and competitiveness in the Federal Government contracting space. Catalina works very closely with the business development, operational and functional leaders to ensure alignment and proper execution of the group’s financial strategy throughout the life cycle of the programs.
Catalina joined Amentum in 2011 and has almost 20 years of experience in roles of progressive financial management responsibility and close partnership with operations.
Catalina holds a Master’s in Business Administration from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Sciences in International Business and Marketing from Minot State University, ND.
Jeff serves as Senior Vice President of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) & Quality at Amentum and has led the EHS programs since 2010. He has dedicated his entire career to leading EHS and quality programs in support of military, government and commercial operations and led multiple successful pursuits of EHS & quality management systems certifications. During his tenure, Amentum has reduced injury rates by 75 percent, severity rates by 85 percent, and workers’ compensation costs by 60 percent.
Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science in soil and water science from the University of Florida and a Master’s of Public Health from Tulane University. He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers.
Christine Fuentes is the Vice President of Corporate Communications at Amentum. She has a nearly 20-year track record of building effective strategic communications and media relations programs for high-profile organizations within the public and private sectors.
Christine has created and managed public affairs and public relations programs for high-profile organizations such as the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the U.S Department of Energy (DOE), state government agencies, national non-profits and commercial enterprises of all sizes.
Christine previously served as a public affairs officer for the U.S. Air Force and is a graduate of the Defense Information School. She earned a Bachelor of Science from the United States Air Force Academy and a Master of Arts from the University of Florida.
