Amentum Honors the 25th Anniversary of September 11 with a Day of Service
On the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, Amentum proudly joined hands with volunteers across the United States to transform a day of remembrance into action as part of the 9/11 Day of Service.
At the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., Amentum employees and their families, along with members of the executive leadership team, participated in a day dedicated to service, compassion, and community impact. They joined thousands of volunteers nationwide to assemble meal kits aimed at alleviating food insecurity across the country. This effort was part of a larger initiative organized by 911day.org, which works to turn the memory of September 11 into an opportunity to foster unity through service and acts of kindness.
This year’s 9/11 Day of Service rallied volunteers in 50 U.S. cities to pack an incredible 20 million meals for individuals and families in need. For Amentum, the event was more than just a community initiative; it was a way to honor the legacy of the lives lost and forever changed by the events of September 11.
