370+ Amentum Programs Honored with a National Safety Council Award

Congratulations to the 2026 National Safety Council award recipients from Amentum programs across the globe!

The National Safety Council (NSC) is the United States’ leading non-profit organization advocating for safety and health for more than 100 years. Each year, it recognizes organizations for achieving accomplishments in their safety performance by presenting them with awards in different categories. 

This year, 373 Amentum programs received safety awards from the NSC.

“I am proud to announce that many of our Amentum teams have once again been recognized by the National Safety Council for their outstanding safety performance,” said Steve Arnette, Amentum’s chief operating officer.

“These employees support some of the world’s most complex and demanding missions, and they do so with an unwavering commitment to protecting one another and those around them. This recognition reflects the culture our teams build every day, where safety, accountability and mission success go hand in hand,” continued Steve.

The NSC’s Industry Leader award is the most prestigious safety award, presented to programs with a safety performance, as measured by total incident rate and employee hours, in the top five percent of member facilities. Performance at this level against such fierce competition represents extensive effort towards implementing an advanced safety program that results in a very low occurrence of injuries. Eighty-seven Amentum programs have been honored with this award since 2011, and this year, four programs were presented with the award.

Additionally, this year 24 programs were recognized for earning the Superior Safety Performance award for 10 consecutive years without a lost workday injury. These operations have accomplished a remarkable feat by preventing serious injuries for an entire decade. 

Every recognition earned reflects the dedication of Amentum employees who make safety a daily priority.
