Nuward – Safety and program management support
Amentum is providing nuclear safety expertise and project management services for Nuward, an EDF-led initiative based in Lyon, France, which is developing a new generation of small modular reactors designed to deliver safe, flexible, and low-carbon nuclear energy.
Our teams have contributed to the definition and implementation of the safety framework, including accident and transient studies, criticality analysis, and the development and validation of safety methodologies and tools. We are also supporting equipment qualification approaches and licensing activities.
In parallel, Amentum provides program management support, including governance preparation, coordination of planning, cost and risk activities, and implementation of project control tools such as work breakdown structures and cost databases.
