A record number of Amentum programs have been recognized in 2025 by the National Safety Council (NSC) for their outstanding safety performance!

“Amentum envisions a secure and vibrant future, and we believe that safety and well-being are integral to our success,” said Ron Wallace, SVP of Amentum EHS, Quality & Sustainability. “It’s not just the right thing to do – the core values we live and breathe protect our most valuable assets: our people, our clients, and the communities we serve.”

The NSC is the United States’ leading non-profit organization advocating for safety and health. Each year, the NSC recognizes organizations for achieving accomplishments in their safety performance by presenting them with awards in different categories.

The National Safety Council’s Industry Leader Award is the most prestigious safety award, presented to programs with a safety performance, as measured by total incident rate and employee hours, in the top five percent of member facilities. Performance at this level against such fierce competition represents extensive effort towards implementing an advanced safety program that results in a very low occurrence of injuries. Eighty-three Amentum programs have been honored with this award since 2011, and this year, ten programs were presented with the award.

Additionally, this year 9 programs were recognized for earning the Superior Safety Performance Award for 10 consecutive years without a lost workday injury. These operations have accomplished a remarkable feat by preventing serious injuries for an entire decade.

  • 45 programs achieved the Million Work Hour Award for one million consecutive hours without a lost workday injury.
  • 196 programs earned Occupational Excellence Awards, for safety performance 50% better than industry average.

Big congratulations to the Amentum teams who work diligently to always keep safety first!
