What is your role at Amentum?
My role at Amentum is to ensure the critical infrastructure the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) relies on is always available and operational. All facility modernization, maintenance and upgrades must be vetted, scheduled and monitored to ensure there is no impact to MDA’s 24/7 operations.
What inspired you to join Amentum, and what was your first role?
Amentum’s contribution to the MDA mission inspired me to join the company and start in my first role as a Systems Engineer.
How has Amentum evolved since you started?
Amentum has evolved to meet the demands of the MDA’s “Go Fast, Think Big” mantra. We support MDA’s mission to advance missile defense capabilities to match the threat to the U.S. and its allies.
What has been your most memorable moment or achievement at Amentum?
My most memorable moment and achievement at Amentum was being selected for the Quarterly Director’s award and the Annual Program Manager’s award for a multi-year, critical power supply project that resulted in crucial upgrades to MDA’s operational facility.
What’s something unique about Amentum that people might not know? Are there any exciting projects or historical moments you’ve been a part of during your time here?
There are so many opportunities within Amentum. I’ve supported many projects over the years and have had the opportunity to learn many different skills along the way.
What advice would you give to new employees just starting their journey at Amentum?
The advice I would give to new employees is to have a willingness to learn, be open minded, be patient, treat everyone with respect and dignity. When opportunities arise, take them!
