Reliance Test & Technology Atlantic Range Technical Support Services Contract Transition Underway

PATUXENT RIVER, Md.; June 15, 2021 – With the resolution of the legal action protesting the award of the Atlantic Range Technical Support Services (ARTSS) contract, Reliance Test & Technology (RT&T) LLC began work on the contract transition supporting the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), headquartered in Patuxent River, Md. With additional work locations in Maryland, Virginia, and California, ARTSS supports Atlantic Test Ranges (ATR) and Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations (ATMO) in research and development, engineering, maintenance, operation, support of facilities, systems, and equipment in order to meet the engineering development and operational testing and fleet training missions.

The ARTSS contract duration is up to 10 years, with a projected value of over $900 million if all options are exercised. RT&T is scheduled to assume full responsibility on July 1.

Reliance Test & Technology (RT&T) LLC is a joint venture of InDyne, Inc. and Amentum who, together, bring decades of experience in Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) activities. The U.S. Navy provided RT&T with a go-ahead notice to transition as of April 19.

“The RT&T team is happy that the contract matters are resolved and we are eager to work with the ATR/ATMO workforce and the community to support Pax River’s mission of providing full life-cycle support of naval aviation aircraft, weapons, and systems operated by sailors and Marines” said Don Bishop, Chairman of the RT&T Board of Directors. Mr. Tom White, RT&T ARTSS General Operations Manager (GOM) is leading transition activities.
RT&T has posted an open message to ATR/ATMO employees and the community at, which includes a link to job postings and the application site. This site also contains transition questions and answers, and open house information.
