Roela Santos

Roela serves as the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Amentum, a global leader in providing advanced engineering and technology solutions to the U.S. federal government, foreign allies and Fortune 500 companies. She is responsible for strategy and execution of Amentum’s marketing and communications organization, including reputation and brand management, advertising, executive communications, corporate social responsibility, digital and social media, and tradeshows/events initiatives.

Prior to her current role, Roela served as Vice President of Communications at BAE Systems Intelligence & Security, a global leader in defense technology and systems integration for the U.S. government and one of the largest aerospace and defense companies in the world.

Before her role at BAE Systems, Roela served as Chief Communications and Marketing Officer at SAIC, a leader in digital transformation solutions for the U.S. government, and as Chief Communications Officer at Engility Corporation prior to its acquisition by SAIC. Earlier in her career, she also served in leadership role at Raytheon and Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC).

Roela holds a Master’s in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University, an MBA from the University of California Irvine, and a Bachelor in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University.

Roela is on the board of directors the American Red Cross, Northern Virginia/National Capital Region and as well as a co-founder and board member for VOICES for AAPI, the national organization of marketing and communications professionals. She has been recognized as WashingtonExec’s Chief Marketing/Communications Officer of the Year and named Top MarCom Leaders to Watch. Roela has also been recognized as a dedicated community leader including being honored as a KPMG Community Champion and with the (ISC)2 Center for Cyber Safety and Education’s award for her leadership in expanding the global cybersecurity talent pipeline.
