Amentum’s Rich Johanning Selected for AFCEA Cyber Committee

Rich Johanning, Vice President of Mission Engineering in Amentum’s Advanced Technology Office, was recently selected as a member of AFCEA’s Cyber Committee. The committee’s role is to coordinate and enhance AFCEA’s outreach to the cybersecurity community; and to cultivate a spirit of partnership among the government, public and private sectors that serve it.  The committee also serves as a forum to develop new ideas regarding cyber challenges and capabilities that impact government (federal, state, local and international), industry and academia.

“It is an honor to represent Amentum on this well-respected committee to strengthen AFCEA’s role as the associations’ principal cyber advocate and resource,” said Johanning. “I will be able to address complex cyber challenges that impact our client base and within the broader cyber community.”

Johanning will join existing Cyber Committee members:

  • Co-Chair: Mr. John Gilligan, Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Internet Security, and former CIO US Air Force and Department of Energy
  • Co-Chair: LTG Jeff Sorenson, USA (Ret.), President & Partner at A.T. Kearney Public Sector and Defense Services, and former CIO/G-6 of the Army
  • AFCEA representative: LTG John R. (Bob) Wood, USA (Ret.), Executive Vice President, Defense, and National Security, AFCEA International
  • AFCEA representative: Mr. Ben Smith, Manager, Homeland Security, AFCEA International

His term is slated to last two years.
