What is your role at Amentum?

I serve as the Solutions Architect and Chief Engineer for the LoneWolf Program, leading the design and delivery of mission‑critical capabilities in support of the Department of Defense.

Describe a typical workday at Amentum for you (Day in The Life):

A typical workday begins with a tall cup of coffee and a team check-in with Technical Leads who manage our mission‑critical networking, system applications, and voice/video services. We quickly address any service performance issues, then shift focus to team engagements on technical projects, system demands, new growth, and planning next steps for future designs.

As the program experiences significant growth, defining new service solutions—along with the team to deliver them and the associated budget requirements—is sometimes part of the day’s work. At least once a week, I make time to read up on technology updates or attend a technical partner discussion. I’m a bit of a golf nut, so the most recent pro’s awesome (or terrible) shot is a typical lunchtime topic.

What do you enjoy about working for Amentum and what do you find most rewarding?

I enjoy working with the Amentum Program team and value the diversity of technical capabilities they bring to the program. It is truly impressive to see the depth of expertise and commitment to success the team demonstrates daily in support of our customer’s mission needs. We recently completed two major data center hosting upgrades that required months of careful planning and staging. Being part of that team and successfully delivering the project was a true champagne moment.

What inspired you to pursue a career in engineering, and how has it shaped your journey at Amentum?

My dad was an electrical engineer, so I grew up around electronics and computers and developed an innate curiosity about how things work. That curiosity naturally led to an interest in IT systems and in building the team expertise required to run them effectively.

Any insights or perspectives you gained working for Amentum that you didn’t expect?

As I continue learning about Amentum’s portfolio of services and customers, I’m excited by the breadth of customer areas we support and the impact of the work we do.
