What is your role at Amentum?

Predictive Maintenance Program Manager and Subject Matter Expert

Describe a typical workday at Amentum for you (Day in The Life):

This is a multidisciplinary role with five core technological competencies – Infrared Thermography, Airborne/Structureborne Ultrasound, Machinery Lubrication (including Oil Analysis), Vibration Analysis, and Motion Amplification – to drive asset reliability. The normal workday can vary widely with numerous activities such as data analysis, report generation, process and procedural review, providing formal certification training, conducting informal user specific training, performing site assessments to determine what the applicable technologies are, mentoring, coaching, and various supervisory activities.  

What do you enjoy about working for Amentum and what do you find most rewarding?

The ever-changing activities and tasks along with the different clients help to keep things fresh, engaging, and challenging.  That has helped drive a more diverse professional perspective on my technologies, allowing me to become much more well-rounded in my analytical capabilities.  

What inspired you to pursue a career in engineering, and how has it shaped your journey at Amentum?

The complexities of various problems that there are to be solved within engineering drew my interest immediately. Finding and implementing those solutions grants a sense of accomplishment that has kept me engaged for years.

Any insights or perspectives you gained working for Amentum that you didn’t expect?

Within the commercial group we’ve had the unique opportunities to work within numerous industries simultaneously. This has greatly expanded not only mine but also my team’s capabilities and knowledge.
