GERMANTOWN, Md.; July 21, 2020 – Amentum, a leading contractor to U.S. federal and allied governments, announced today that the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) selected D2R Services, LLC, an Amentum-led joint venture, for a position on its indefinite delivery/Indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide nationwide deactivation, decommissioning and removal (DD&R) services. This multiple-award IDIQ contract has a 10-year ordering period and a maximum ceiling of $3 billion.
The D2R team consists of Amentum and Envirocon in the joint venture; Engineering Remediation/Resources Group, GEM Technologies, and Strata-G are small business teaming subcontractors. DOE will utilize firm-fixed price and cost reimbursement task orders to conduct DD&R of excess, legacy facilities across the DOE complex.
This support will also be available to DOE’s National Nuclear Security Administration, Office of Naval Reactors and the Office of Science, as well as other DOE offices or other federal agencies that may request DOE Environmental Management assistance in accomplishing their DD&R requirements.
“We’re pleased that our team has been selected and look forward to competing for these task orders to continue the mission of cleaning up the DOE sites at various locations”, said John Vollmer, Chief Executive Officer of Amentum. “Our integrated team is uniquely qualified and will continue to support our DOE client in this important mission.”
