What has been your most memorable moment or achievement at Amentum?
Leading the Pueblo, Colorado team in completing destruction of over 780K chemical weapons ahead of schedule to eradicate all chemical weapons in the U.S.!
What’s something unique about Amentum that people might not know? Are there any exciting projects or historical moments you’ve been a part of during your time here?
I’m now in my 4th high hazard start up (5th overall) and Amentum has been right there at the forefront to significantly reduce the environmental liability across the company. During the community celebration following completion of chemical weapon destruction in Oregon, a citizen who lived near the plant cried and hugged me for our role. “I never have to worry about our ranch or my grandchildren anymore. It’s gone!” You realize in those moments the difference we make in people’s lives.
What advice would you give to new employees just starting their journey at Amentum?
Become the subject matter expert and volunteer for the tough assignments. Investigating in knowledge and skills will pave your career to success!
