Employee Spotlight: Meet Hannah Lynch

Amentum is shining a spotlight on the talented individuals who represent both the foundation and future of Amentum, celebrating long-tenured and rising talent who are helping us advance the future together.
What is your role at Amentum?
The Process Systems design group works to provide analysis, engineering, design, construction, and commissioning services for mechanical process piping systems and equipment for our customers.
What inspired you to join Amentum, and what was your first role?
I joined Amentum as a summer intern in the summer of 2004 and was in the process of earning a mechanical engineering degree from Auburn University. I loved math and hoped to continue coursework that provided a broad range of experience.
How has Amentum evolved since you started?
At that time, our group was part of Jacobs Sverdrup. We’ve grown since the 2000s, but still enjoy doing most of the same types of projects!
What has been your most memorable moment or achievement at Amentum?
Being a part of the design and construction of the A-3 Test Stand at Stennis Space (SSC) Center and then later the refurbishment of the SSC B-2 Test Stand in support of NASA’s Constellation and SLS programs have to be a highlight!
What’s something unique about Amentum that people might not know? Are there any exciting projects or historical moments you’ve been a part of during your time here?
Watching the Core Stage Green Run Testing that was televised on NASA TV with my two young sons was one great memory! Watching the Artemis I launch with our coworkers and having a space themed breakfast including moon pies, star crunch, and tang was also unique!
What advice would you give to new employees just starting their journey at Amentum?
Engineering requires lots of communication! Get to know the community – both those you work with and those in the community you are a part of!
