Employee Spotlight: Meet Brad Linville

What is your role at Amentum?

Independently evaluate, select, adapt, and modify standard techniques and criteria to plan and conduct a technical solution for an engineering assignment. Independently plan, schedule, and conduct detailed phases of engineering work through the selection and adaptation or modification of techniques, procedures, criteria and update associated documentation and artifacts. Analyze complex features of the work and apply principles and practices of the discipline or devise new approaches in problem solutions. Create and brief training materials. Advise and guide members through complex processes and implement process improvements.

What do you enjoy about working for Amentum and what do you find most rewarding?

I have been given the freedom to take initiative and speak freely on proposed improvements.  My ideas are heard and considered which makes me feel like a valuable member of the company.

What excites you the most about being part of Amentum’s next generation of employees?

I am excited to combine the successes and lessons learned passed to me from my predecessors with the knowledge and skills I have personally gained in my career, to improve the delivered product to the customer; whether it be in terms of higher quality, decreased delivery time, lower cost, or more resilient technical solutions.

What advice would you give to future Amentum Employees?

Always look for something broken to fix and never give up on a problem until a solution is identified.  Chances are, if you have an issue then others do too, so share your fixes with those around you.  Your impact is exponentially greater when you solve problems and share solutions with others.
