Engineer Spotlight: Meet Jennifer Guida

What is your role at Amentum?
I lead the Requirements & Process Integration team, which is responsible for implementing the Certification of Flight Readiness (CoFR) process and managing operational procedures for NASA’s Artemis Program. My role ensures mission success by integrating flight vehicle requirements, driving process improvements, and maintaining configuration management compliance.
Describe a typical workday at Amentum for you (Day in The Life):
A typical day involves collaborating with engineers, technicians, and NASA partners to review requirements, approve process documents, and resolve technical challenges. I often lead cross-functional meetings, manage resources, and oversee readiness activities for spacecraft integration and launch operations.
What do you enjoy about working for Amentum and what do you find most rewarding?
I enjoy working on complex human spaceflight missions that push the boundaries of exploration. The most rewarding aspect is knowing that my team’s efforts directly contribute to the safety and success of NASA’s Artemis missions, enabling future astronauts to return to the Moon and beyond.
What inspired you to pursue a career in engineering, and how has it shaped your journey at Amentum?
My passion for aerospace began early, inspired by the Space Shuttle Program and the idea of advancing human spaceflight. Starting as a Guidance & Navigation Engineer, I’ve grown into leadership roles where I can influence mission-critical processes. This journey has taught me the importance of adaptability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

I’ve learned that innovation isn’t just about technology – it’s about people. Building trust and fostering collaboration across diverse teams is as critical to mission success as technical expertise.
