GSA ASTRO Description
The ASTRO IDIQ, managed by GSA FEDSIM, consists of a family of separate, individual, multiple-award IDIQ contracts, or pools, under the master contract umbrella. Amentum has won a seat on nine of the ASTRO pools, including Data Operations, Mission Operations, Aviation, Ground, Space, Maritime, Development and Systems Integration, Support, and Training.
ASTRO Task Orders consist of a comprehensive assortment of products and services focused on the development, integration, operation, maintenance and support of unmanned/manned/optionally manned systems, robotics, and various platforms.
Amentum’s extensive experience in robotics and unmanned vehicles, combined with our expertise in data operations, systems integration, training, and systems modernization/sustainment, make ASTRO a perfect fit for us to continue to support the warfighter in the years ahead.
Amentum / PAE Supply Chain Risk Management Strategy (SCRM)
It is our responsibility to purchase products, goods, and services in a cost effective and efficient manner. We define Supply Chain Management (SCM) as the tool that “encompasses the planning and management of all activities involved in sourcing, procurement, conversion, and logistics management activities. It also includes coordination and collaboration with channel partners, which can be suppliers, intermediaries, third-party service providers, and customers. SCM integrates supply and demand management within and across companies.” The management components of our SCM are: Planning and Control, Work Structure, Organization Structure, Product Flow Facility Structure, Information Flow Facility Structure, Management Methods, Power and Leadership Structure, Risk and Reward Structure, Culture and Attitude. Our Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) provides a series of mechanisms and tools that help identify risks. These risks are analyzed to determine the best mitigation processes in order to avoid any impact to the supply chain life circle.
Scope
The ASTRO scope includes all services required to formulate a total solution for any land, air, sea, or space platform mission requirements. The Data and Mission Operation Pools include either data or non-data collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination activities supporting mission performance. These pools allow for traditional labor services, as well as “as-a-service” support. The Space or Ground Pool covers the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of space or ground vehicles. The Development/Systems Integration Pool includes systems integration, systems improvement, and/or systems engineering. The Research & Development Pool involves improvements in technology, materials, processes, methods, devices, or techniques. The Training Pool includes all training services required for the successful execution of a product, program, project, or process.
